Kia UK has announced pricing and specifications for the Kia EV3 today, with pre-orders opening from 1 August for the brand’s most affordable electric vehicle yet.
Following the example of the EV6 and EV9, Kia will offer three grades to EV3 buyers in the UK: ‘Air’, ‘GT-Line’ and ‘GT-Line S’, each with a generously equipped specification as standard.

All versions come with LED headlights, a 12.3in instrument display and infotainment touchscreen, as well as heated front seats.

Entry-level Air cars get 17in alloy wheels, grey cloth upholstery and a 58.3kWh battery. This yields a range of 267 miles and can be recharged at up to 102kW.

An 81.4kWh unit is also offered, bumping range to 372 miles and maximum charging speed to 128kWh. It costs an extra £3000.

GT-Line trim, priced from £39,495, gets the bigger battery, 19in wheels, electrically adjustable lumbar support for the driver’s seat and tinted rear windows.

The flagship of the EV3 lineup is the ‘GT-Line S’, with a price tag of £42,995. Like the ‘GT-Line’, it features the 81.4kWh long-range battery pack and WLTP ‘combined’ cycle range of up to 347 miles. It also represents the pinnacle of the EV3 line-up with the following specification highlights: electrically adjustable front seats, a head-up display and bi-directional charging, among other features. It is the only trim level to also offer an efficiency-boosting heat pump, which is an extra £900.

The GT-Line and GT-Line S cars lose 25 miles of range, down to an official limit of 347 miles, due to their larger wheels and additional on-board tech.

All versions of the EV3 are powered by a single electric motor sending 201bhp and 209lb ft through the front wheels.

UK customer deliveries will start from late 2024, with customers able to choose from all variants from launch. Fleet customers will benefit from the two per cent BIK (benefit-in-kind) rate for EVs in 2024/25 and three per cent for the 2025/26 tax years.
